Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends, food and fun. And maybe even some sleep! It is always good to regroup, reconnect with our families and reflect on our lives. We have much to be grateful for! At each New Year, I make a goal to do something new. So I challenge each of you this year to do the same. Whether it is something you have always wanted to do just for you, start a new tradition with your family or even facing a fear. Remember that our children look to us to teach them life skills that they will take and use to pave their own path in this world. Let’s teach our children that everyday they should strive to be the best person they can possibly be.
December was a very busy month filled with celebrations, anticipation and generosity. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to be “elves” and wrap gifts for the staff. It is such a help to our hardworking staff to have “one less thing” to do so thank you for bringing your wrapping skills to Curlew Creek! And a HUGE thank you to everyone that participated in our Coyote Angel Tree. This year we were able to help 18 families this season! We hope that this tradition will continue and grow in the future.
Believe it or not it is time to start thinking about your PTA leaders for next year. If you have a desire to serve, we want to know about it! Maybe there is a committee you would like to head up or co-chair with someone else, or prehaps you are interested in an executive board position. Whatever your interest level and availablity, I know there is something for you. I would love to hear from you and if you have any questions about what the time commitment is for each position or what it entails, please contact me via email (email@example.com), Facebook or drop a note in our PTA box in the front office! I will be more than happy to talk with you about it.
